Salted Desert, LLC reserves the right to alter or modify the below terms and conditions as necessary to accommodate current best practices in halotherapy and red light therapy. Your acknowledgment below constitutes your agreement to any and all terms changed, modified, or altered. It is in your best interest to view our website periodically for the most current information on our terms and conditions. We will do our best to disseminate important changes to our customers as efficiently as we can.

The information contained herein, on our website, or in any variety of printed material is designed to disseminate general information regarding halotherapy or red light therapy. Any information regarding the benefits of halotherapy or red light therapy has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration or any healthcare agency in the United States.

I understand and acknowledge that by entering the premises and employing any of the services offered by Salted Desert:

1. I assume all known, latent, or anticipated risks.

2. My participation at Salted Desert is purely voluntary and no warranties or representations were made to me by its management to induce me to participate.

3. I shall assume full responsibility for my actions, and/or those of my dependent (under age 18).

4. I understand that Salted Desert does not evaluate or diagnose my health and I assume responsibility for my choice and understand it is recommended to receive medical clearance prior to engaging in halotherapy or red light therapy.

5. I have been advised of the following possible side effects of halotherapy: dry or itchy throat, increased nasal drip, and increased coughing during the treatment session. These symptoms can be expected as a natural process in the therapy.  Salt attracts moisture and impurities within the respiratory passages allowing for thinning of mucus and removal through coughing. I have been advised of the following conditions that may occur during red light therapy: the generation of thermal heat that may cause discomfort to areas of sensitive skin, intense light that may cause discomfort in certain individuals, and the stimulation of tissues in some disease states.

6. Salted Desert has neither applied for, received approval, or been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration or any other consumer protection group regarding halotherapy or red light therapy. This is not a medically approved treatment here in the United States. The use of halotherapy or red light therapy is not intended to treat, cure, or prevent any illness or condition. All active medical conditions should be treated by a qualified medical professional. We assume no responsibility for customers choosing to manage their own health conditions.

7. I am aware that I should NOT ENGAGE in halotherapy if I present with any of the following conditions:

 

Active, contagious diseases such as TB, flu, COVID-19, or resistant viral/bacterial types of pneumonia. Recent fever (<24hrs) or hemorrhagic infections. Advanced respiratory disease (requiring continuous oxygen), advanced heart disease (uncontrolled high blood pressure, congestive heart failure), or advanced kidney disease. Individuals who are pregnant or have cancer should consult with their physician before starting salt therapy.

1. The use of eye protection during red light therapy is highly recommended, and I have been advised never to look directly at the red light without such protection. I understand that Salted Desert, and its affiliated members, cannot predict how red light therapy may affect certain cosmetic skin procedures and/or permanent implants. This includes but is not limited to, body tattoos and facial fillers. I understand it is my responsibility to address any concerns with appropriate medical providers prior to engaging in red light therapy.

 

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. YOU AGREE THAT NEITHER SALTED DESERT NOR ANY PERSON ASSOCIATED WITH SALTED DESERT SHALL BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE RESULTING FROM YOUR VOLUNTARY USE OF HALOTHERAPY OR ANY OTHER SERVICES. THIS LIMIT OF LIABILITY COVERS SALTED DESERT, ITS CUSTOMERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS, SUPPLIERS AND AFFILIATED ORGANIZATIONS AGAINST ALL LOSSES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DIRECT OR INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, AND PUNITIVE DAMAGES, PERSONAL INJURY / WRONGFUL DEATH, LOST PROFITS, OR DAMAGES RESULTING FROM THE USE OF THE SALTED DESERT COMMERCIAL PROPERTY. I UNDERSTAND THIS DISCLAIMER IN ITS ENTIRETY AND HAVE NOT BEEN UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ANY DRUG OR MEDICATION THAT COULD IMPAIR MY MENTAL ABILITIES TO UNDERSTAND THE CONTENTS OF THIS DISCLAIMER.
